In chemistry, pH is the measuring of the acidity or basicity of a liquid. Normal pH levels of a swimming pool are 7.2 – 7.6. Keeping normal pH range levels is key when maintaining a pool, among many other things. If the pH becomes too low pH (acidic), this can cause corrosion and scaling on pool surfaces, stainless steel parts, and equipment.
